Event Description

Join Walkley-winning journalist Marc Fennell, and writer and filmmaker Laura Nagy, for an intimate night out, as they draw the unexpected parallels between some of the quirkiest and most interesting internet sub-cultures. Marc and Laura will delve into the heated world of competitive chilli eating, where chilli-heads create astonishing videos of grown adults being reduced to tears by a square millimetre of a chilli, alongside the peculiar online world of ASMR, digital intimacy and audio erotica.

Understand how and why Marc and Laura chose to inject their own personal stories and trauma into their Audible Original Podcasts, It Burns, and Pillow Talk, and how creating their podcasts became a way to self-reflect and move forward with purpose.

TRIGGER WARNING: Content may include references to topics such as sexual abuse, self-harm, and eating disorders.
